Presidents Cup Role & Match-Play Fit
Smith's 2019 Presidents Cup appearance included a singles victory over Justin Thomas on home soil.
He finished Royal Melbourne at 1-1-1. His putting and short-game imagination made him a difficult opponent when holes came down to a recovery shot or a pressure putt.
That appearance preceded his 2022 Open Championship win. His Presidents Cup career and his individual championship achievements offer different views of a player whose strongest work often comes around the greens.
