Michael Brennan finished at 16-under 268 in Yokohama for his third PGA TOUR title. Jacob Bridgeman and Keith Mitchell finished one shot behind.

Michael Brennan won the 2026 Baycurrent Classic at Yokohama Country Club on October 11, finishing at 16-under 268. His closing 68 left him one stroke ahead of Jacob Bridgeman and Keith Mitchell. It was Brennan's second PGA TOUR victory of the season and third of his career, achieved in his 33rd TOUR start.

For followers of the recent Presidents Cup, Bridgeman's runner-up finish provides an immediate link back to Medinah. The American rookie who delivered the Cup-clinching singles point remained in contention in Japan, but Brennan's finish decided this individual tournament.

Final Scores and Prize Money

The PGA TOUR's payout report lists those awards from an $8 million purse. Brennan's rounds were 68, 67, 65 and 68. The sequence explains how he reached the final total: Saturday's 65 moved him into a share of the lead, and Sunday's 68 supplied enough separation to win outright.

The one-shot margin also distinguishes the result from a playoff. Brennan completed regulation ahead of both challengers. Bridgeman and Mitchell shared second place with each other, rather than tying the eventual winner.

Two Birdies, Then Six Pars

Brennan entered the final round sharing the lead with Bridgeman and Zach Bauchou. After a bogey at the 10th, he made birdies at the 11th and 12th, then parred every remaining hole. Associated Press and GOLF.com's final reports both describe that closing pattern.

Mitchell had made an early move, while Bridgeman stayed close late in the round. Brennan's response did not require a birdie at the last. The gains at 11 and 12 created the advantage; six subsequent pars preserved it against the final totals posted by his closest rivals.

That is useful context when reading a low aggregate score. A tournament can produce plenty of birdies across four days and still be settled by avoiding another dropped shot over its closing stretch. Here, the leaderboard ultimately rewarded Brennan's combination of recovery and control.

Bridgeman's Run Continues After Medinah

Bridgeman had won the Genesis Invitational and the Biltmore Championship before helping the United States win the Presidents Cup. The TOUR's payout report notes that he was chasing his third victory of 2026 in Japan. His 269 left him one shot short of Brennan.

The result adds a new chapter to that sequence without changing what happened at Medinah. The Presidents Cup final report records his decisive singles point against Min Woo Lee; Yokohama records four rounds against a full individual field. Both are competitive achievements, assessed through different scoring systems.

Brennan's Next Team-Golf Ambition

After the victory, Brennan told GOLF.com that playing the 2027 Ryder Cup in Ireland was one of his goals. That is a stated ambition, rather than an announcement that he has qualified or been selected. His wins make the question interesting; the relevant selection process will determine the eventual team.

There is also a new club-golf development. TGL's October 20 announcement placed Brennan on Atlanta Drive's 2027 roster, alongside Patrick Cantlay, Justin Thomas, Billy Horschel and Chris Gotterup. A TGL roster place and a future U.S. national-team place are separate outcomes.

For now, the established result is substantial enough: three career TOUR victories, another winning final round, and a narrow defeat of two experienced challengers. Baycurrent gave Brennan a trophy and gave readers a clear measure of his progress, with the next stages of his team-golf career still to be played.
